Sunday Market in Nevada City

Starting June 1st - 2008! Reserve your booth early!

Find a Bargain! Sell Your Treasures! Meet up with Friends!

Sunday Market in Nevada City was established as a community fair, where neighbors and friends could buy and sell all kinds of good stuff. Antiques, art, collectibles, bygones, retro, vintage, original and gently used clothing. Estate sale treasures, children’s things, décor items, lamps, pots and pans, dishes, glasses, electronics, computer stuff, games, sports equipment, jewelry, purses, clothing, furniture, deluxe junk and the cream of garage sale stuff.

Buyers

Bring the kids but please leave the dog home. Dress in layers and wear comfortable shoes. And by all means, feel free to bargain! We’ll have the Game of the Week on 3 TVs for weary husbands.

This is a community event—we encourage everyone to reserve a booth and bring your “extra” treasures to sell. See the “Seller’s Page” for all the info. It sure beats doing your own garage sale at home, especially if you live way out in the woods.

And, it makes a grand day out on a lazy Sunday. Munch, browse and find some special treasure. Then meander up the street to tour Nevada City’s downtown historic district with dozens of wonderful shops, restaurants, bookstores, and art galleries. Or do a little wine tasting (Indian Springs on Broad St., Nevada City Winery a block over on Spring St., or Carrington’s Fine Wines a block over in the other direction on Commercial St.) It’s all within an easy walk.

Stonehouse Parking Lot

Directions

From Hwy 80, exit at Hwy 49 in Auburn and head north toward Grass Valley. Drive through Grass Valley and go another 3 miles to Nevada City. Exit at Broad Street, turn right, and in half a block you’re there.

Parking: Street parking is available—just observe the signs. There are two public parking lots. One is across the street on the other side of the creek from the Sunday Market entrance. To reach the second public parking lot, turn left onto Broad Street from the freeway, take the first right onto Coyote, the first hard left onto Commercial at Main and proceed 1-1/2 blocks. The entrance to the lot is on the right.
